ATTITUDES OF PROACTIVE PEOPLE
1. They control situations by making things happen rather than waiting for things to happen:To be proactive is to act in advance...take a bold step to make things happen the way we want. Proactive people are not wishers, they are doers and it was said that if wishes were horses even beggars will ride one. Instead of sitting down and wishing things will happen, a proactive takes deliberate steps to make things happen. Proactive people believe nothing changes until we change it. They know that nothing moves until its been pushed. They understand the Newton's first law of motion in Physics, that, ''every object continues in its state of rest or pf uniform moti
on in a straight line unless acted upon by an external force.'' So they apply it and make things happen instead of waiting and wasting.
There are three categories of people
- Those that make things happen.
- Those that watch things happen.
- Those that don't know things happen.
Only proactive people make things happen.
2. Proactive people are risk takers:
They belief it is more risky to not take a risk. They also believe that until your dream is worth dying for its not yet a dream. They are ready to sacrifice every other things to actualize their dream. To them, life itself is a risk so why afraid of taking a risk.
3. They are possibility oriented:
Impossibility is never a language of a proactive person...in fact he sees the word IMPOSSIBLE with a different view which is ''I'M POSSIBLE'' so he believes all things are possible except those you refuse to attempt. They are the Caleb type of people ''And Caleb stilled the people before Moses and said let us go up at once and posses it, for we are well able to overcome it.'' Num.13:30.
4. They don't wait for the future...they create one:
Their watch word is that ''you cannot feature in the future you have not pictured.'' The future is not far away to a proactive person... The future is Now...so he creates what he loves to see.
